Adding a weblink to an article

This FAQ item explains how to add a web link in an article, such as to an external internet site or to another part of this site. It is simple, here's how:

  1. First highlight the link text in your article (that is the text you want to be the link).
  2. Click on the advlink icon at the left of the third row of icons above the authoring window, to bring up the Advanced Link window.
  3. If you are putting in a link to an external website with a known URL, simply enter the full URL (ie with http:// etc) into the URL field. If you want to link to another part of this site, then use the Link Browser part of the window to select the contact, content item (ie article), menu item, or site weblink - this will populate the URL field with the correct URL for you.
  4. Once the URL field is complete, simply click on the Insert button. It is done!
